Lunchbox Jams was first formed in 2004 as a dance group passionate to promote the culture of hip hop, break dancing, house dance, and multicultural understanding. We are close friends who meet regularly to practice, teach, perform, and brainstorm new ways to achieve their life goals. As a highly motivated, tight-knit group, we strive to serve the community on a daily basis.

Each member brings their own unique abilities, interests, aspirations, heritage, and dance experience. In addition to having full time jobs and/or being university students, we still find time to organize community events, and regularly provide performances for charity and cultural events. Our members also use their spare time as dance instructors to further community awareness and talent in such towns as Ann Arbor, Canton, Flint, and Royal Oak.

LBJ currently has members living across the United States with it's two primary chapters in and around Los Angeles and Metro Detroit. Much like any long-distance relationship, the level of communication amongst it's members has been key to the continued growth. Although not always an easy task, it is through our honesty, trust, and open-mindedness that allows us to better understand, appreciate and succeed in the world around us.
